Wood Turning

- The art or process of fashioning wooden pieces or blocks into various forms and shapes by means of a lathe.

Preparing the wood is critical to the wood turning process.  Precise measurement is required to find the center point of the wood.  Additionally the wood may be trimmed on a bandsaw.  Both techniques ensure a balanced rotation on the lathe.
