About the Artist

Welcome to Audrey Rainer Collection - ARC.  Here you will find a collection of hand-turned bowls, vases and decorative items created by artist Robert Rainer Hayes.

 

Robert and his wife Audrey have been married for 39 years and have two adult children and a rescue dog.

Robert was born in Frankfurt, Germany to military parents but has now made his home in Wake Forest, North Carolina.  He pursued many art mediums through the years including painting, graphic design, photography and natural arts. His recent introduction to wood turning has captured his passion, allowing him to create unique beautiful pieces.  Each represents his desire to design and create quality items to be enjoyed for years to come.

 

Three of his pieces were chosen for display at the 2024 Craven Arts Council and Gallery ArtWalk at the Bank of the Arts building in New Bern, North Carolina.  

 

He will also be the Guest Artisian for December, 2024 at the Stitch 'n Bead Handmade Gifts located in Louisburg, North Carolina.
